Background:
Pearson is the World’s largest educational publisher and creator of digital solutions for the education and professional markets.
This initiative launched due to Pearson’s desire to advance diversity and inclusion efforts across the globe. In June 2013, Pearson Iowa campus was approached by the Head of Diversity and Inclusion efforts and the Denver Women in Leadership leaders through a formal focus group to determine if Iowa would be a right-fit for the launch of an inaugural chapter, shifting WIL from a single employee resource group (ERG) in Denver to a National chapter-based ERG. It was determined Iowa would be the right fit, and on August 1, 2013, Iowa was announced as the first chapter of the newly designed group, Women in Learning and Leadership.
Role:
As an Iowa founding member and a Global Advisory board member, I was responsible for directing Creative Services to develop world-wide marketing and branding collateral. On the organizational side, I planned, developed, and executed all program objectives to launch the program in Iowa, the first chapter of it’s kind.
