Being a requirements analyst / business analyst / user experience designer, I found this hilarious and TRUE. The key to building the right product in my opinion:
- Take the end user request with a grain of salt. Work to figure out what they truly are asking for.
- Shadow the user and watch how they interact with the UI. Take the learnings back to development and make the UI intuitive.
- Understand the data as well if not better than the end user. Get to the point where they are asking you for recommendations.
