Department Dashboard Reporting

The Challenge

Deliver insight into big data to all levels of staff, to increase productivity and efficiency to drive the business towards zero-inventory rollover, reduce inefficiency, and immediately identify opportunities for improvement. Enable transparency into big data formerly only accessible by Operations Analysts and Analytics team by request. Develop dynamic reporting that would turn rows of data into pictures of data would drive the business to efficiency. Develop business intelligence dashboard reporting via PowerPivot, an Excel Add In, while delivering improved processing power and collaboration through SharePoint.

The Strategy

• Use Scrum to deliver product in incremental, fully workable deliverables.
• Develop a layered reporting system that will provide different security access to three types of audiences: Operations, Leadership, and Staff.
• Automate daily reporting previously developed daily by Operations Analysts, in order to reduce time spent building routine reports and allowing more time for data analysis
• Develop a dynamic reporting tool that will allow managers and team member’s autonomy to look into the data themselves, without requesting additional assistance from support staff.
